| Objectives of the Housatonic Cairn Terrier Club The objectives of the Club shall be to do all possible to bring the natural qualities of pure-bred Cairn Terriers to perfection, through selective breeding. To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the Cairn Terrier as approved by the American Kennel Club and the Cairn Terrier Club of America as the only standard of excellence by which the Cairn Terrier shall be judged. To do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of the Cairn Terrier by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and obedience trials and to conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows under the rules of the American Kennel Club. |
